Cookie policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on this website, under the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 and the GDPR. Our privacy notice explains how we use personal data more generally.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a similar way. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Cookies that need your consent
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the website without asking. Everything else, such as analytics, is used only if you allow it, and nothing optional is switched on before you choose. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the website works the same either way.
Cookies we use
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

| remember_ireland_… | Us | Keeps you signed in on this device, only if you tick "Remember me". | Up to 400 days, or until you sign out | Strictly necessary |
| ie_consent | Us | Remembers your cookie choices, the policy version they were made under and when. | 6 months | Strictly necessary |

Payments and security checks
Card payments are taken on Stripe's own secure checkout page (checkout.stripe.com). Stripe sets its cookies there, on its own domain, to process the payment and prevent fraud.
Some of our forms use a bot check to tell people from bots: either Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs in a frame from challenges.cloudflare.com, or Google reCAPTCHA, which may set a _GRECAPTCHA cookie on google.com. It is used only to protect the form you are sending, so we treat it as strictly necessary for security.
Records of your choice
When you make a choice, we keep a record of it: a random identifier, what you chose, the policy version and the date, with scrambled (hashed) versions of your IP address and browser details, never the raw values. We keep it to show that we asked for and respected your consent.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop loading those tools and delete the analytics cookies we can. We ask you again when we change the cookies we use, and at least every six months.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in and buying will not work.
