Guide
After incorporation: your first steps
The filings and registrations every new Irish company needs once the CRO has registered it.
Register your beneficial owners
Your company must register its beneficial owners with the Register of Beneficial Ownership (RBO) soon after it is formed. Filing is online and free, and banks often ask for it before opening an account.
Register with Revenue
Register the company with Revenue for corporation tax, and for VAT or as an employer if it needs to, using Form TR2. An agent can do this for you through ROS.
Your first annual return
The company’s first annual return is made up to six months after incorporation and does not need accounts. Later returns include financial statements.
Trading under another name
If the company will trade under a name other than its registered name, register that business name with the CRO.
Start with the name.
Check your company name against the CRO register now, then form your company when you’re ready.
